Dan Almagor

b. 1935

Dan Almagor was born in Ramat Gan to Polish immigrants and grew up in Reḥovot. He studied under Leah Goldberg and Shimon Halkin at the Hebrew University. A prolific writer, Almagor has written plays, songs, and journalism. He is also a translator and a television and radio host. Almagor is best known for his translations and adaptations of plays, including My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, and Guys and Dolls.
