Moshe Dor

1932–2016

The poet and translator Moshe Dor was a founding member of Likrat, the first group of Israeli poets who broke demonstratively with the diction, pathos, and collectivist ethos of Shlonsky and Alterman. Born in Tel Aviv, Dor served in the Haganah before heading to university. He was awarded the Bialik Prize in 1987.
