Ehud Ben-Ezer
b. 1936
Writer and critic Ehud Ben-Ezer was born to a founding family of Peta? Tikvah. He studied Kabbalah and philosophy at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and he served in the Naḥal in 1955 and 1956 and as a paramedic during the Six-Day War. After working as a teacher in the Negev, he began writing fiction about his own experiences and those of his ancestors. In addition to his own prolific literary output, Ben-Ezer works as a literary critic, publishing in a number of Israeli periodicals. He has won many literary distinctions in Israel and abroad, including multiple prizes from the prime minister and two fellowships at Oxford University.
