Meyer Vaisman is a Venezuelan artist who lives in Barcelona and New York. He began his career as a gallery owner but came to concentrate on his own art. The Venezuelan government rejected his proposed contribution to the 1995 Venice Biennale, a provocative installation, Green on the Outside, Red on the Inside, which commented on economic disparity in Venezuela.
