Lost This Shabbes
My travel bag was lost somewhere between Szerencs and Nyíregyháza. It contained: a tallis, two pairs of tefillin, together with a Yeshuas Yisroel prayer book. There were also two High Holiday prayer books, galoshes, a shtrayml,1 one light boys’ suit, four debt registry books, and one freight list. Everything has my name on it. I am asking the honest finder or buyer to return it to me. I will gladly pay a finder’s fee as well as all expenses.
Burkos Lipót from Bártfa (Bardejov), [staying with] Glück Mór in Hajdu-Hadház [Hajdúhadház].
Notes
[A shtrayml is fur hat worn by Hasidic men on holidays and Shabbat.—Eds.]
