Moshe Flinker
1926–1944
Born in The Hague, Moshe Flinker began writing his Hebrew diary at age sixteen in 1942. He came from an Orthodox family and began writing to relieve boredom while in hiding after his family escaped to Belgium. Because of his youth and Dutch heritage, he has been compared to Anne Frank. Although Flinker died in Auschwitz, his diary was recovered by his sisters and published by Yad Vashem in 1958.
