Moshe Zvi Neriah

1913–1995

Moshe Zvi Neriah was an Israeli educator and politician. Born in Lódz, he was educated at yeshivas in Minsk and Shklov. He came to Palestine in 1930 and studied with Abraham Isaac Kook. Neriah was one of the founders of the Orthodox Bnai Akiva youth movement and for many years its spiritual leader. In 1940 he established the first Bnai Akiva yeshiva. He served in the Knesset from 1969 to 1974, representing the National Religious Party.
