Dov Ber Slutsky

1877–1955

Dov Ber Slutsky was a philologist, novelist and short-story writer, and publicist from Ukraine who wrote for Der fraynd. In Kiev he worked at the Institute for Yiddish Culture. After World War II, Slutsky moved to Birobidzhan. He was arrested by the Soviets in 1949 and died in Siberia.
