David Pina
David Pina was a Portuguese Jewish physician who practiced medicine in Amsterdam in the second half of the seventeenth century. He studied medicine in Leiden and was awarded the degree of doctor of medicine on May 18, 1678. His dissertation was dedicated to Isaac Aboab de Fonseca and Moses Raphael d’Aguilar, rabbis of the Portuguese Jewish community in Amsterdam. Pina was also a preacher of some fame in the community.
