Tamar El-Or

b. 1955

Born in Tel Aviv, Tamar El-Or is a professor of sociology and anthropology at the Hebrew University, head of the Leifer Center for Gender Research, and an associate at the Scholion Interdisciplinary Research Center in Jewish Studies. She writes about religion, gender, and society.
