David H. Ellenson

b. 1947

Born in Massachusetts and brought up in Virginia, David H. Ellenson is a leading Reform rabbi. Ellenson is president of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and Anna Grancell Professor of Jewish Religious Thought. He also holds a doctorate from Columbia University. Ellenson’s numerous works have addressed Jewish thought, ethics, and modern Jewish history.
