Norman Lamm

1927–2020

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Norman Lamm was elected president of Yeshiva University in 1976; he is the university’s chancellor and a professor of Jewish philosophy. Lamm is an Orthodox rabbi as well as an author, editor, and lecturer. He is the founder of Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Thought.
