Avner Holtzman
b. 1956
Avner Holtzman is a professor of Hebrew Literature at Tel Aviv University, where between 2000 and 2004 he was head of the Katz Research Institute. Since 1987, he has served as director of the M. J. Berdichevsky Archive in Holon. Holtzman has published books on modern Hebrew literature, and has edited numerous scholarly books, among them critical editions of the writings of Bialik and Berdichevsky.
