Isaiah Berlin

1909–1997

Latvian-born Sir Isaiah Berlin immigrated to the United Kingdom as a child and later became a prominent philosopher, political theorist, historian, author, and professor at Oxford University. His work was critical in shaping contemporary liberal thought.
