Mimi Sheraton

1926–2023

Brought up in Brooklyn, New York, Mimi Sheraton is a food critic and writer of numerous books on culinary customs. Formerly the food critic for New York magazine, the New York Times, Time, and Conde Nast Traveler, Sheraton has introduced the public to international cuisine and traditions. She has earned many honors, including the Julia Child/IACP Award and the James Beard Award.
