Johanna Hurwitz

Born and raised in New York City, Johanna Hurwitz is one of America’s most popular novelists for young people; she has written more than fifty books. Formerly a children’s librarian, Hurwitz earned the 1982 Parents’ Choice Award for The Rabbi’s Girls and a 2001 American Library Association Notable Book designation for Rip-roaring Russell.
