Jack Marshall

b. 1936

Jack Marshall grew up in an Arabic-speaking Jewish home in Brooklyn. He is a poet, playwright, and memoirist whose works explore his Sephardic heritage. The recipient of the PEN West Award and a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for From Baghdad to Brooklyn, Marshall was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2008.
