Ted Solotaroff

1928–2008

Born and brought up in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Ted Solotaroff was an editor, critic, lecturer, and memoirist, as well as the founding editor of New American Review. He also was an editor at Commentary and Book Week of the Herald Tribune, and later served as a senior editor at Harper & Row. Truth Comes in Blows received the 1998 PEN/Martha Albrand Award.
