Eva Hoffman

b. 1945

Born in Kraków, Eva Hoffman imigrated to Canada as a child, and now is a writer, speaker, and educator who has taught creative writing at a number of American universities. The author of a memoir, novels, and nonfiction addressing the Holocaust, she worked as an editor at the New York Times. In 1990 Hoffman received the Jean Stein Award for nonfiction. She lives in London.
