Jonathan Safran Foer

b. 1977

Born in Washington, D.C., Jonathan Safran Foer is the author of novels and short stories. His works have appeared in periodicals such as The New Yorker and the Guardian, and have been anthologized and translated into several languages. Foer is the recipient of the Zoetrope Fiction Prize, the Guardian Prize for a First Book, the National Jewish Book Award, and the New York Public Library’s Young Lion Award. Everything Is Illuminated was adapted as a film in 2005.
