Dina Rubina

b. 1953

Dina Rubina is a Soviet-born author, from Tashkent, who has lived in Israel since 1990. A writer of Russian-language prose, she is the author of some twenty books that have been translated into a dozen languages, often dealing with the immigrant experience. She has received numerous literary honors, including the Arie Dulchin Award, nominations for the Russian Booker Prize, and an award from the Israel Writers’ Union.
