Ana María Shua

b. 1951

Ana María Shua is a novelist, poet, and children’s writer from Buenos Aires. She has also worked in advertising, editing, and journalism, and lived in France during Argentina’s period of military dictatorship. Shua’s works, which often use irony, include reflections on Jewish cultural and immigrant experiences.
