Gregory Kanovich

b. 1929

Gregory Kanovich was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. He is a novelist, poet, scriptwriter, and playwright who worked for the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from Lithuania in the 1980s. Kanovich writes mainly in Russian, and his novels, many of which describe Jewish life, have not been translated. In the early 1990s he immigrated to Israel.
