Yehoshua Kenaz

1937–2020

Yehoshua Kenaz is an author, editor, and translator, born and raised in Petaḥ Tikva. In the 1960s and 1970s, he was an editor of the literary quarterly Keshet, of Maḥbarot lesifrut, and of the literary supplement of Haaretz. Many of Kenaz’s books have been dramatized and adapted for film and the stage. Kenaz received the Bialik Prize in 1997.
