Dina Kalinovskaya

1934–2008

Dina Kalinovskaya, born in Odessa, published a number of short stories in Russian literary journals as well as investigative journalism in Russian newspapers, and also wrote the script for Remember, the War Happened in 1941, with Vladimir Vysotsky. Oh, Sabbath! was first published in a Yiddish translation in the Moscow literary magazine Sovietish heymland and then in the Russian original (1980). During the last ten years of her life she lived a secluded existence.
