Johann Karl Kretschmar

Johann Karl Kretschmar was a German painter who specialized in historical painting and portraiture. He studied with landscape painter Johann Friedrich Weitsch and later taught at the Berlin Art Academy. Kretschmar painted portraits of several prominent Berliners.
