Friedrich Georg Weitsch

Friedrich Georg Weitsch spent much of his career working as a court painter in Berlin. He produced portraits for German nobles, was appointed court painter of Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick, and was the rector of the Berlin Academy of Art. In 1798, he was appointed Royal Court Painter.
