David Khait
1899–1979
A prolific, if minor, Soviet Jewish writer in the Russian language, David Khait wrote about Jewish identity and other issues, strictly following the guidelines of 1930s socialist realism. His writing was marked by frequent praise of Stalin, the successes of Birobidzhan, and the wonders of the Soviet project writ large.
