Sefer ha-kavanot (Kabbalistic Intentions in Prayer and Performance of Precepts)
David ben Aaron Ibn Ḥasin
1737
This manuscript copy of Sefer ha-kavanot (The Book of [Kabbalistic] Intentions [in Prayer and Performance of Precepts]) by Ḥayim Vital was written in Meknes, Morocco. The kabbalists in Safed stressed the importance of mystical prayer and kavanah (mystical intention). Many of the notations and glosses throughout the text of this manuscript are seemingly by the scribe himself.
