For opening the heart; tested and tried. Take a new glass and write on it:

I adjure you, Patḥiel, to open my heart to all the Torah to learn all that I desire. That my heart should be as an overflowing wellspring, submerged, and that I will not forget. In the name of the Lord, God, blessed be He, Amen, Amen, Amen, selah, selah, selah.

And bring water and erase [the writing] with it, and drink. And when that is done say: “In the name of God (Eheye Asher Eheye) I will learn and I will succeed.” And say: “I adjure you, Patḥiel to open my heart in Bible, Mishnah, Talmud, and Midrash, to learn all that I see and hear, and not forget the pure Torah, etc. [ . . . ] blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom forever and ever.

This should be recited three times, and afterwards he will learn and succeed. This has been tested and tried.
