The Mother enters, carrying the dead Child in her arms; approaches the pile.
The Mother:
Hello, dead children.
I brought my son here.
He’s dead. He’ll lie with you.
Dead Children:
You brought him to the right place.
Put him down with us.
The Mother:
Easy to say so. And as soon as I put him down,
I’ll never pick him up again;
I won’t smell him…
