Yoel Hoffman

b. 1937

Born in Romania, Yoel Hoffman immigrated to pre-State Israel as a young child. He earned a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Kyoto in 1975, and is a professor emeritus of philosophy at Haifa University. Hoffman received the Bialik Prize in 2002 and the Prime Minister’s Prize in 2007.
