Yitzhak Laor

b. 1948

Poet, playwright, novelist, and peace activist Yitzhak Laor was born in Pardes Hannah, Israel. Laor has published critical works on literature, as well as novels and poetry. He also writes about literature and politics for Haaretz. In 2005, he founded Mita’am: A Review of Literature and Radical Thought. Laor received the Prime Minister’s Prize in 2001 and the Yehuda Amichai Prize for Hebrew Poetry in 2007.
