Teddy Kollek
1911–2007
Teddy Kollek was born in Hungary, grew up in Vienna, and came to Palestine in 1935. After serving in a number of international and governmental positions, Kollek was mayor of Jerusalem from 1965 to 1993, encompassing the time of the city’s unification in 1967. In 1988, Kollek was awarded the Israel Prize.
