Tamar Frankiel

b. 1946

American-born Tamar Frankiel is dean of academic affairs and a professor of comparative religion at the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles. She has taught at the Claremont School of Theology, the University of Judaism, Stanford University, Princeton University, and U.C. Berkeley and Riverside. Frankiel’s fields of specialization include mysticism and comparative religion in America.
