Susannah Heschel

b. 1956

Raised in New York City, Suzannah Heschel holds the Eli Black Chair in Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College. Her scholarship addresses Jewish–Christian relations in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Germany, and she is the recipient of the 1998 National Jewish Book Award. She has also edited the essays of her father, philosopher Abraham Joshua Heschel.
