Susan Rubin Suleiman

b. 1939

Budapest-born Susan Rubin Suleiman, a literary and cultural critic, translator, and editor, is a professor of French civilization and comparative literature at Harvard University. Her writing explores twentieth-century French fiction, feminism, and the Holocaust. Suleiman has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Rockefeller Humanities Fellowship, and several NEH Fellowships.
