Savyon Liebrecht

b. 1948

A novelist, short story writer, and script writer, Savyon Liebrecht was born in Munich to parents who had survived the Holocaust. The theme of silence in survivors and their families haunts her works. Liebrecht studied in London and at Tel Aviv University. Among other awards, she received the Alterman Prize and Playwright of the Year award.
