Ruth Bader Ginsburg

1933–2020

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court. Before her appointment in 1993, she served as a lawyer for the National Organization of Women and the American Civil Liberties Union, and as law professor at Rutgers University and Columbia University.
