Rivka Miriam

b. 1952

Rivka Miriam is a poet, author, illustrator, and creative-writing teacher. The daughter of the Yiddish poet Leib Rochman, she was born in Jerusalem and published her first poems at age eight. Her paintings have been exhibited in Israeli museums and galleries. She also heads Jerusalem’s Elul Open College for the interdisciplinary teaching of religious and secular Jews. She was awarded the Leah Goldberg Prize in 1996.
