Reina Roffé
b. 1951
Born in Buenos Aires, novelist and essayist Reina Roffé has lived in Madrid since 1988. When she published her novel Monte de Venus in 1976, she faced a publication ban in Argentina. In 1981 she participated in the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. Roffé has written about her Sephardic origins as well as about South American writers.
