Norma Rosen

b. 1925

Norma Rosen is a Brooklyn-born novelist and essayist, brought up in a secular Jewish home. Her work is noted for female characters and innovative biblical interpretations. She has also written stories and articles for national periodicals, including Commentary and The New Yorker. Rosen is the recipient of the Eugene F. Saxton grant, a Radcliffe Institute fellowship, and a New York State Creative Artist Public Service grant.
