Neil Gillman

1933–2017

Born in Quebec City and a graduate of McGill University, the Jewish Theological Seminary, and Columbia University, Neil Gillman was a rabbi, lecturer, leader of the Conservative movement, and professor of Jewish philosophy at the Jewish Theological Seminary. The author of several books and numerous essays, he received the 1991 National Jewish Book Award in Jewish Thought.
