Moshe Gross

1952–2018

Moshe Gross was an Israeli photographer who documented the evolution of the country’s built environment throughout the second half of the twentieth century. Primarily a technical and industrial photographer, Gross captured images of Israel’s myriad infrastructural developments, including petrochemical plants and foundries. His graphic black-and-white photos are as much artistic compositions as documentary images. His photographs have been prominently featured in several Israeli exhibitions, including the 2007 show Haifa in the Eye of the Camera at the Haifa City Museum. Gross was the owner of the Keren-Or photography studio in Haifa.
