The Moriah Association

Founded 1903

The Moriah Association was an informal organization of Jewish students in Palestine, founded in 1903 with the support of the Hilfsverein der Deutschen Juden (Relief Organization of German Jews). Most of the students were immigrants from the Russian Empire. Moriah members actively supported and promoted the Hebrew language and modern culture. They organized events such as public lectures, evening classes, and a drama class.
