Michael Heller

b. 1937

Born in New York City, Michael Heller is a poet and critic, associated with the Objectivist school. He has taught at New York University. Heller also wrote the libretto for an opera based on the life of Walter Benjamin. He has received the Alice Fay Di Castagnola Prize, a New York Foundation on the Arts Fellowship, and an award from the Fund for Poetry.
