Martin Sherman

b. 1938

Born in Philadelphia, Martin Sherman is a playwright and screenwriter who now lives in London. His plays, which have treated the themes of homosexuality and the Holocaust, have appeared on Broadway and in London. Sherman received the Elizabeth Hull-Kate Warriner Award, fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Rockefeller Foundation, and a BAFTA Film Award nomination.
