Marcie Cohen Ferris

b. 1957

Marcie Cohen Ferris grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas. She holds a doctorate from the George Washington University, teaches American studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is associated with the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies. A historian of the Jewish American South, she has published and edited articles on that theme, plans museum exhibits, and was associate producer of the video documentary The Natchez Jewish Experience.
