Leyb Goldin
1906–1942
Leyb Goldin was born in Warsaw and grew up in poverty. First active in the city’s communist youth organizations, he joined the Bund in 1936. A translator as well as a critic and essayist, Goldin published in the Bundist underground press during World War II. His autobiographical “Chronicle of a Single Day” was included in the Oyneg Shabes archive, of which he was a member. He perished in the great deportation in the summer of 1942.
