Leslie Epstein

b. 1938

Born in Los Angeles, Leslie Epstein has written novels, collections of short stories, and numerous articles for periodicals. He is the director of the creative writing program at Boston University. Among many literary awards, Epstein has received a National Endowment for the Arts grant, a Guggenheim fellowship, the Notable Book Citation from the American Library Association, and the Award for Distinction in Literature from the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters.
